Naoya Inoue to Fight vs Marlon T. Tapales on Dec. 12 in Japan

Naoya Inoue, nicknamed “The Monster”, is a four-division world champion and the current unified WBC and WBO super bantamweight champion. He is widely regarded as one of the best pound-for-pound fighters in the world, having a record of 25 wins, 0 losses, and 22 knockouts. He is known for his speed, power, timing, and body-punching ability, having a knockout ratio of 88%. He has defeated notable opponents such as Nonito Donaire, Emmanuel Rodriguez, Jason Moloney, and most recently Stephen Fulton, whom he stopped in the eighth round to win the WBC and WBO titles on July 25, 2023.

Marlon T. Tapales, also known as “Nightmare”, is a two-division world champion and the current unified WBA (Super) and IBF super bantamweight champion. He has a record of 37 wins, 3 losses, and 19 knockouts. He is a southpaw with a relentless style and a strong chin. He has overcome adversity in his career, having lost to David Sanchez and Ryosuke Iwasa in the past. He bounced back from those defeats and won the WBO bantamweight title from Pungluang Sor Singyu in 2016. He then moved up to super bantamweight and won the WBA (Super) and IBF titles from Murodjon Akhmadaliev by split decision on April 8, 2023.
